The Tasting Menu
The Walled Gardens is a unique culinary experience from award-winning chef Eddie Shepherd.
Limited to just eight guests per evening, Eddie personally prepares and serves the tasting menu in a relaxed dining space located on the converted ground floor of his home.
The innovative plant-based menu is offered in both a vegetarian or a vegan option.
With a limited number of guests per evening demand for reservations is extremely high and they sell out very quickly.
Reservations are released on the 1st day of each month at midday. These reservations are for five months in advance. More details on reservations and joining the cancellations waiting list are available on the reservations site by clicking the link below.

Key Information
BYOB - The Walled Gardens operates a BYOB policy. No alcohol is sold at the dinners but guests are invited to bring their own alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks of choice & a wine fridge is available to chill your drinks. Chilled water and glasses are provided on the tables.
ALLERGIES & DIETARY REQUIREMENTS - The tasting menu is fully vegetarian but can also easily be adjusted to be suitable for vegans. For those preferring a vegan menu please request this at the time of making the reservation (please note this is not suitable for people with a dairy allergy as some ingredients used in the kitchen list dairy as a possible trace allergen - due to their packaging in facilities that work with dairy).
Please note that The Walled Gardens is unable to cater for nut allergies.
Sadly The Walled Gardens is no longer able to cater for gluten free guests due to the small nature of the space and the use of gluten ingredients in the kitchen.
Also that alcohol is used in the preparation of some of the dishes.

LOCATION - The Walled Gardens is located in the converted ground floor of chef Eddie’s home on Alness Road in Whalley Range, Manchester. To retain an element of privacy, the complete address is not listed on this website and will be emailed to you along with directions and all other details upon confirmation of your reservation.
PRICING - The tasting menu is priced at £130 per person. You are also invited to bring your own beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) with no corkage charge.

Upcoming Release Dates
Reservations are released on the 1st day of each month at midday.

June 1st 12pm - Reservations for October 2026 go on sale
July 1st 12pm - Reservations for November 2026 go on sale

RESERVATION NOTE: When making a reservation your selected table will be held for 10 minutes for you to complete the reservation process. As a result, the reservation site may indicate all tables are sold out almost immediately, but it’s worth checking back after a few minutes as some tables usually become available again as non-completed bookings expire.
